We value and encourage the development of the child's sense of independence, self-discipline and confidence in a safe, supportive, culturally and academically diverse environment as guided by the Montessori philosophy. We respect children as individuals and encourage them to make choices, thereby becoming increasingly self-directed in their learning.

    The Montessori Method
Dr Maria Montessori first developed the Montessori Method in the early 1900.s. A non-competitive environment allows children the freedom to explore at their own pace without the pressure of being evaluated according to adult criteria. Specially designed materials and activities promote the development of social, emotional, physical, and cognitive skills.

If Montessori children are free to learn, it is because they have acquired an "inner discipline" from their exposure to both physical and mental order. A goal in Montessori is to offer the child an environment which will stimulate his desire and love of learning. This is the core of Dr. Montessori's philosophy.
